On June 16, Mr. Aitor Mate, economic and commercial consul of Consulate General of Spain in Guangzhou, and his delegation paid a visit to IFA and were warmly received by Mr. Qi Yilong, president of IFA, and Ms. Tan Wenyi, deputy secretary-general of IFA. The two sides had an in-depth discussion on promoting the development of Spanish food in China.
President Qi firstly introduced the Spanish consulate to the developing status of IFA and the Four-in-One service items of Food2China, and exemplified the great popularity of Spanish food including Spanish ham, Spanish olive oil, Spanish wine, ect. among the Chinese people in combination with practical situation of China's imported food market. President Qi and deputy secretary-general Tan then actively responded to relevant questions about the entry of Spanish food into the Chinese market. The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on jointly promoting the development of Spanish dairy products, Spanish pork and kinds of other products in China. Spanish consulates highly recognized the one-stop matchmaking service of Food2China, and they hoped that both sides will further strengthen in-depth cooperation in the field of food in the future, and jointly explore diversified ways of promotion to facilitate the development of Spanish food in China.
This visit and communication have further deepened the demand intention of both sides. The two sides will continue to strengthen cooperation in the future to optimize food export channels for Spanish enterprises and bring more high-quality Spanish food to Chinese consumers. IFA will continue to carry out extensive cooperation with foreign consulates in Guangzhou to bring more high-quality foreign food to South China and promote further development of imported food industry.
