In 2018, a total of 2.9 billion postal parcels were dispatched from Yiwu, accounting for 5.7 percent of the total and ranking fourth among all cities in China. The total volume of e-commerce transactions reached 236.8 billion yuan, of which 65.5 billion yuan was transacted in cross-border e-commerce.
International Exhibition and Convention City
More than 130 exhibitions and conventions, including China Yiwu International Commodities (Standards) Fair, China Yiwu Cultural Products Trade Fair & China International Tourism Commodities Fair, China Yiwu International Forest Products Fair and other national-level exhibitions, will be held every year in Yiwu, making it one of China's top 10 prominent cities in terms of conventions and exhibitions. And major international forums, such as Silk Road Economic Belt Cities International Forum, West Africa and North Asia Forum, and the Working Conference of China-Czech Jointly Coordinating and Monitoring Cooperation Plan and Projects under the Framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, have also been successfully held in Yiwu.
