Representatives of IFA Member Enterprises were Invited to Visit the Consulate General of the Philippines in Guangzhou

On May 9, delegation of IFA and representatives of its member enterprises were invited to visit the Consulate General of the Philippines in Guangzhou to have an efficient exchange and dialogue with Mr. Louis, Consul General of the Philippines, and his delegation.

The IFA will organize 10 quality importers to participate in the most professional food fair in Manila, Philippines (IFEX Philippines 2019). The Philippine Consulate General in Guangzhou attached great importance to the IFEX delegation. This meeting was aimed at deepening understanding between the two sides and strengthening the purchasing needs of the Philippine Consulate General through buyer representatives of Guangdong Imported Food Association, so as to better provide assistance and advise for enterprises in their trade and investment activities in the Philippines in the future.

Representatives of member enterprises had a deeper understanding in the general situation of Philippine food through this exchange meeting, and the consulate had also provided effective advice and guidance from the needs of enterprises. The two sides also discussed the difficulties and pain points of the Philippine food import trade. The meeting was quite fruitful. The IFA will strengthen cooperation with the Consulate General of the Philippines in Guangzhou in the future to promote the development of imported food from the Philippines in the industry.
